USS Surfbird Association Meeting
September 29, 2005
Las Vegas, Nevada

After a wonderful meal the meeting was called to order by Vice President Larry Bennetts.

The treasures report was given by Treasure Tom Dannatt $505.67 in checking. The biannual treasures audit was conducted by Finus Smith and Larry McMaster. They reported that the books were in order and balanced. It was moved by Bill Hutchison and second by Don Gillispie to accept the Treasures report. The motion was passed.

The next order of business was the acceptance of the Bylaws. It was moved by Bill Hutchison and second by Chuck Lyons to accept the Bylaws as printed. There being no objections or changes, a vote was taken and the Bylaws were accepted by a unanimous vote.

New business was the nomination of officers for the next two years.

Tom Dannatt was nominated for the office of secretary/treasure by Don Gillispie. The nomination was second by Larry Bennetts. No other nominations for this office were brought forward. Tom Dannatt was elected to the office of Secretary/Treasurer unanimously for the 2006-2007 term.

Larry McMaster was nominated for the office of vice president by Tom Dannatt. The nomination was second by Chuck Lyons. No other nominations for this office were brought forward. Larry McMaster was elected to the office of Vice President unanimously for the 2006-2007 term.

Larry Bennetts was nominated for the office of President by Don Gillispie. The nomination was second by Tom Dannatt. No other nominations for this office were brought forward. Larry Bennetts was elected to the office of President unanimously for the 2006-2007 term

Jerry Blevins thanked Don Gillispie, Larry Bennetts, Tom Dannatt, Larry McMaster and their spouses for taking office for the next two years.

The Presidents Plaque was presented to President Elect Larry Bennetts by Don Gillispie.

Vice President Larry McMaster and Finus Smith will be working on our next reunion in 2007. All the elected officers agreed to help where they can to make our next reunion another success.

The meeting was adjourned by President Larry Bennetts
